It also advocates for \u201ccombining infrastructure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Diputaci\u00f3 participated this Friday in the II Road Safety Forum held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste, an event that brought together representatives from public administrations, university experts, manufacturers, law enforcement agencies, and industry professionals to analyze one of the main challenges currently facing mobility: reducing motorcycle accident rates.<\/p>\n

The Second Vice President and Deputy in charge of Roads, Reme Mazzolari, presided over the closing ceremony of a meeting during which sh<\/strong>e highlighted the work the institution has been carrying out in the area of road safety and, in particular, the initiatives launched to improve protection for the most vulnerable users of the provincial road network.<\/p>\n

The head of the Roads Department also highlighted the concern regarding motorcycle accidents, an issue that is the focus of much of the Provincial Council\u2019s current efforts in the areas of analysis, prevention, and innovation.<\/p>\n

As Mazzolari explained, the provincial government has stepped up its specific studies on motorcycle accidents in recent years, has identified sections of road with a high concentration of accidents, and is working in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic to implement various measures aimed at improving safety for this group.<\/p>\n

More investment in conservation and new solutions<\/strong><\/h4>\n

During her remarks, the second vice president also emphasized the importance of keeping roads in optimal safety conditions, noting that the Provincial Council has tripled the resources allocated to the upkeep and maintenance of the provincial road network over the past decade.<\/p>\n

\u201cBuilding safer roads is important, but so is maintaining them properly. Road safety depends as much on the infrastructure as it does on its daily maintenance,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

However, Mazzolari stressed that the complexity of the phenomenon makes it necessary to broaden the focus beyond traditional solutions linked exclusively to the road. \u201cInfrastructure remains fundamental, but we need to incorporate new tools. Technology, innovation, training, and road safety education must play an increasingly important role if we want to continue reducing accident rates<\/b>,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

The deputy concluded by highlighting the importance of working forums like the one held in Cheste to share experiences and move forward with joint solutions<\/b>. \u201cRoad safety is a shared responsibility. Administrations, manufacturers, researchers, security forces, and users must work in the same direction to continue reducing the number of victims on our roads,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
