The youth talent development championship enters a new era alongside the Aspar Team<\/strong>, which will be full of new features and real opportunities, creating a unique ladder towards the world championship in grassroots motorcycling. <\/p>\n

Moto5<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Moto5 category will feature a large field at the start of the 2026 season, with 34 riders<\/strong> ready to shine in the first battles for victory in Aragon. Pablo Arnedo<\/strong> will try to defend his title after a 2025 season in which he broke almost every record with 12 wins and 17 podiums in 20 races, although the high level of the registered riders, from up to 15 different nationalities<\/strong>, promises a great year of competition.<\/p>\n

Cesare Golfetto<\/strong> and Alejandro Castilla<\/strong>, champion and runner-up in GP10 last season, are making the jump to Moto5 with the goal of causing an upset in their debut, as are Gael Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, 2024 Minimoto 4.2 champion, and Ricardo Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, winner of the last 2 races of last season in GP10. Alongside Pablo Arnedo, other riders to watch include Ethan Botti<\/strong>, 2025 Moto5 runner-up, Witek Kupczynski<\/strong>, 2024 GP10 champion, and Phil K\u00f6ster<\/strong>, one of the big revelations of 2025. <\/p>\n

GP12<\/strong><\/p>\n

A total of 19 young talents<\/strong> have confirmed their participation for this first meeting of the season, with key figures such as Argentinians Gonzalo Apkarian<\/strong> and Rocco del Papa<\/strong>, and others looking to grow in their second season in GP12 like Asier Villalba<\/strong> or Pedro Tortosa.<\/strong> A combination of experienced riders and newcomers eager to surprise will surely offer a great show on the asphalt.<\/p>\n

GP10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Riders coming from Minimoto 4.2 and Alev\u00edn 90, along with some returning to the category, form one of the largest GP10 grids in memory, with up to 32 bikes<\/strong> on the grid. Among other riders to watch, Daniel Hidalgo<\/strong> faces his second season in GP10 after finishing in fifth place in 2025, achieving 2 podiums in the final round of the season. Alev\u00edn 90<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a debut that exceeded all expectations, where David Delgado<\/strong> was crowned the first champion of the category, the 2026 Alev\u00edn 90 season begins in Zuera with a total of 15 registered riders<\/strong>, where Max G\u00e1lvez<\/strong> starts as the favorite after finishing second in 2025 with 4 wins and 5 podiums. J\u00e1n Aguilera<\/strong> and Izan Barber\u00e1n<\/strong> also bring experience to the category, while riders coming from Minimoto 4.2, such as Thiago Clua<\/strong> or Hugo Urbano<\/strong>, will look to earn a spot in the top positions of the MIR Racing Aspar Cup. <\/p>\n

Minimoto 4.2<\/strong><\/p>\n

The entry-level category, the starting point for the vast majority of riders in their professional careers, once again looks in top shape for this season opener in Zuera. 27 riders<\/strong> will look to climb to the top step of the Minimoto 4.2 podium in short but always intense races that offer a spectacle that rivals those seen in higher displacement categories.<\/p>\n

Julen Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, Alejandro Merino<\/strong>, and Thiago Clua<\/strong> are the only riders from last season’s top 10 who are returning, making them the main favorites to be in the fight for the leading positions.<\/p>\n

The 2026 season calendar<\/strong> consists of a total of 11 events, with 2 races per category at each one:<\/p>\n
