The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe, the German brand’s winter one-make series, stopped at the Circuit for the penultimate round of its campaign. After Friday’s free practice sessions, Saturday saw the qualifying sessions and races for the two categories that make up the championship: Sport and Club. <\/p>\n

Milan Marczak<\/strong> was the clear winner of the day, securing a double in the Sport<\/strong> category. The Dutch driver, who took pole position, won the first race after leading from lights to flag without giving his rivals a chance. Behind him, the battle for the podium was hard-fought between Cypriot Tio Ellinas and American Alex Reiman, with Ellinas finishing ahead. In the second race, Marczak led every lap again to claim his second victory at the Circuit, while Dutchman Hjelte Hoffner and Brazilian Matheus Ferreira completed the podium. <\/p>\n

With his two wins at the Circuit, Marczak is the new championship leader, as Dutchman Wouter Boerekamps, who arrived at Cheste in first place, could only manage fourth in the first race and fifth in the second.<\/p>\n

In the Club<\/strong> category, aimed at amateur drivers, Venezuelan Javier Ripoll won the first race by overtaking championship leader Joel Monegro from the Dominican Republic, who started on pole. Ripoll dominated much of the final race until Monegro overtook him following a mistake.
