Circuit Ricardo Tormo is hosting the third round of the Promocopa this weekend, the national motorsport series that brings together the Saxo Trophy, the GTI Trophy and the RACE Touring Car Championship, with free access for fans to the paddock and the Pit Lane Grandstand.
After visiting the Jarama Circuit and Navarra, the Promocopa wraps up the first part of the season this weekend in Cheste, before finishing the year at Monteblanco and returning to Jarama in the autumn.
The Saxo Trophy, the GTI Trophy and the RACE Touring Car Championship are the three competitions on the bill. On Saturday, the collective practice sessions will take place. Also on Saturday, the programme will be completed with the open sessions organised by All Squad.
On Sunday, the timed practice sessions will take place and, from 11:20, the two races in each category, which will finish at 15:05.
Jesús Parisi leads the overall Saxo Trophy standings with a 20-point advantage over Fernando Paniagua. Javier Ugalde is in first place in the GTI Trophy and Gianmaria Traversone leads the overall CRT standings.
In addition to the on-track action, this weekend Circuit Ricardo Tormo’s offering is multiplied with the show Drone Art Show, Harry Potter, with hundreds of coordinated drones that will recreate iconic moments from the famous films, creating aerial formations synchronised with the saga’s original soundtracks.
