José Antonio Suárez and Alberto Iglesias have won the Rallye Ciudad de Utiel, securing their third consecutive victory in the S-CER (Spanish Rally Super Championship) 2026. The event organized by Escudería Negrete Racing has made its debut with honors, providing the teams participating in the RFEDA (Royal Spanish Automobile Federation) reference championship with the perfect setting to contest the first of three gravel events scheduled in the calendar, with the starting point and base of operations at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo

The Škoda España team leaders, winners of the gold medal at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games and, last November, of the S-CER & CERTT GT2i Champions Race, have once again dominated the stages of the Utiel-Requena region with their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.

After completing Friday’s opening stage with a narrow lead of 1.7 seconds, José Antonio Suárez and Alberto Iglesias clearly dominated the second day of the Rallye Ciudad de Utiel, which started with the second runs of two of the previous day’s stages: ‘El Ardal’ (9.14 km) and ‘San Antonio’ (14.25 km).

The Asturians systematically increased their advantage throughout the trio of timed stages that formed the focus of two of the three sections of the decisive stage, consisting of ‘Calderón’ (11.48 km), ‘Las Cuevas-El Cherano’ (15.76 km), and ‘El Viso-D.O. Utiel-Requena’ (12.14 km). In this way, Suárez and Iglesias once again paved their triumphant path to the top step of the podium at Plaza Puerta del Sol.

Diego Ruiloba and Ángel Vela won the TC Plus (bonus stage) of the Rallye Ciudad de Utiel at midday, which resulted in second place overall for the Lancia Corse España team. The innovative Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale made its gravel debut in our country on the Valencian stages, offering a great level from the start.

Sergi Pérez and Axel Coronado achieved their objective, securing their first scratch and their first podium in the S-CER (Spanish Rally Super Championship). The Catalans from Toyota Gazoo Racing Spain won the battle in extremis against Pepe López and David Vázquez, who ultimately finished fourth with the official Hyundai i20N Rally2 ‘Step2’.

Iván Ares and Borja Rozada finished right behind them, completing the top five of the Rallye Ciudad de Utiel. Francisco Puertas and Sergio Fernández achieved their first victory within the legendary Desafío Peugeot, the most iconic one-make series in our country. Juan de Dios and Sergio Aguilar did the same among the Toyota Yaris Rally5 Kit entries of the renewed Copa Kobe Motor.
