The MIR Racing Aspar Cup returns to action this weekend at the Circuit Móra d’Ebre for the third round of the 2026 season. After the most well-attended event of the championship, the young motorcycle racing prospects will go head-to-head again in the GP12, GP10, Alevín 90 and Minimoto 4.2 categories, with Marc Ramírez, Daniel Hidalgo, Thiago Clua and Julen Hernández defending the lead in their respective classes.

GP12

Marc Ramírez has been the benchmark in the GP12 category at the start of the season, with three wins and a perfect podium record in the four races held so far. The championship leader had to push to the limit at the last round at the Aspar Circuit under pressure from Rocco del Papa and Ares Aragón, who fought for the win all the way to the chequered flag. In the second race, Aragón managed to take the win by just 89 thousandths to open his 2026 victory account, while Hugo Rivas, third in the overall standings, secured his first podium of the season.

GP10

Daniel Hidalgo arrives at Circuit Móra d’Ebre leading the GP10 category, one of the closest in the championship, with three different winners in the first four races of the season. After the double in Zuera, the leader kept up his consistency at the Aspar Circuit with two more podiums, despite wins for Óscar Mercader and Milas Pauwels, who opened their tally in the category. Thanks to that consistency, Hidalgo leads the standings with a 48-point advantage over Mercader and 68 over Omar Albiñana, who has two podiums so far this season.

Alevín 90

Thiago Clua has been the clear dominator of the Alevín 90 category in 2026, with a clean sweep of wins and poles in the first two rounds held at Zuera and the Aspar Circuit. The Móra d’Ebre round will mark the halfway point of the season and could prove decisive in the championship fight, with Hugo Urbano as the main chaser after finishing second in every race held so far.

The 60 points separating the two riders give the leader some breathing room, although everything is still open in a category that continues to grow and establish itself as one of the key development steps within the MIR Racing Aspar Cup.

Minimoto 4.2

Julen Hernández has been dominating the Minimoto 4.2 category with authority at the start of the 2026 season, with a perfect four wins from four races. The rider from Murcia arrives at Circuit Móra d’Ebre as the clear favourite after a very solid first half of the year.

Behind him, Alejandro García remains his main chaser, with four consecutive second places that have allowed him to keep the pressure on the leader, while Gael Davalillo, very consistent despite still without a podium this season, sits third in the provisional standings and will look to take a step forward on the Catalan track.

The action will get underway this Friday at the Circuit Móra d’Ebre with the first free practice sessions, ahead of an intense Saturday that will include free practice from 10:00 and the two qualifying sessions for each category, decisive in setting the starting grids. Competition will wrap up on Sunday with the warm ups and the races from 9:00.
