The Circuit Ricardo Tormo hosts a new international motorsport event this weekend with the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, which will share the track with the TCR Spain championship in a joint event bringing together 29 touring cars at the Cheste track
The event will take place on the Circuit’s outer layout and will feature teams and drivers from a total of 14 nationalities. The sporting program includes three races throughout the weekend, with Saturday’s race and Sunday morning’s race also counting towards the TCR Spain championship.
For the first time, both competitions will share the track at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, a circumstance that will allow fans to enjoy a larger grid and a higher level of competitiveness.
For this event, the Circuit’s short layout will be used, with a length of 3,136 meters, instead of the usual Grand Prix circuit. This configuration provides greater on-track intensity and expands the possibilities for using the venue during the weekend.
In addition, the Spanish Clio Cup and the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica will each hold two races as part of the event program. The offering is completed with Volrace activities in the paddock and the spectacular Drift Spain on the Circuit’s inner layout. Gymkhana, exhibitions, demonstrations and much more will multiply the excitement for the thousands of fans who will share their passion for motorsport at the Circuit.
Three consecutive weekends
Activity at the Valencia track will extend throughout the month of June, with three consecutive weekends of competitions and events open to the public. Following the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour event, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo will host grassroots motorcycle races and will close out the month with two other activities, the motorsport Promocopa and a nighttime drone show.
