The MIR Racing Aspar Cup returns to action this weekend at Circuit Ricardo Tormo for the fourth round of the 2026 season, featuring riders from Promo3 and Moto5. With nearly 70 riders across both categories, the show promises to be high-level with high-intensity battles on the track. Leonardo Fabio (Promo3) and Pablo Arnedo (Moto5) will look to defend their leads in their respective categories before the summer break.

Promo3

The opening round of the premier class of the MIR Racing Aspar Cup did not disappoint, with races that weren’t decided until the checkered flag. Bolivian rider Leonardo Fabio arrives at the top of the provisional standings after taking victory in the second heat at the Aspar Circuit, following a close call in the first race where Liu Shanxu, a Chinese rider making his championship debut this year, took the top step of the podium. Aitor González also stayed in the top 3 and will be looking for his first win of the season after showing very promising performance in the event held in May. Just outside the top three positions, we find 4 riders tied at 148 points: Dario Ruiz, Álvaro Sáez, Lorenzo Poma, and Marc Moñinos. This is undoubtedly a clear sign of the extreme level of competition in this championship, which forces all riders to give 100% every race weekend.

Moto5

Pablo Arnedo arrives at Circuit Ricardo Tormo as the Moto5 leader after winning both races held at the Aspar Circuit. The rider from Villena, the current category champion, will try to defend his title, although Ethan Botti, currently second in the championship, won’t give up without a fight. Despite a crash in the first heat of the previous event, he returned to the race to score vital points, while in the second, he finished just 132 thousandths of a second away from his third win of the season. Polish rider Witek Kupczynski, the 2024 GP10 champion, will be looking for his first win of the year on a track that already delivered very close races in 2025. Knocking on the door of the top 3 are Cesare Golfetto and Gael García, two riders who know what it’s like to be champions in the MIR Racing Aspar Cup development ladder and who will undoubtedly be riders to watch closely throughout 2026.
