Registrations for the 3rd Velas Maraton Grand Prix are moving at a record pace, and everything suggests that on May 16, as the sun begins to set over the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, we will experience one of the most crowded and special editions of this highly anticipated event for running fans.
The event, organized by the Velas Maraton Club, has established itself as a unique date thanks to its exclusive route: two races of 4 and 10 km held entirely on the asphalt of the Cheste Track. Both the start and the finish line will be located at the Circuit’s starting lights, a setting that allows participants to experience the thrill of running where the world’s best drivers usually do.
Since opening last January, the pace of registrations has not stopped growing. Runners of all levels have already secured their bib number through CronoRunner, drawn by the chance to enjoy a sporting afternoon in an incomparable setting. Registration will remain open until May 13, although the organizers remind everyone that it may close earlier if maximum capacity is reached.
The 3rd Velas Maraton Grand Prix offers two different but equally exciting experiences. Those opting for the 4K distance will complete one full lap of the GP track, while those registered for the 10K will face that same lap plus two additional laps of the outer track. Both races will start simultaneously at 8:30 PM, with a time limit until 10:00 PM to cross the finish line.
After the sporting activity, food trucks and a DJ will complete the lineup for an unforgettable night at the Circuit
The organizers have arranged for pacers in the 10K race, aid stations at kilometer 4.2 and in the finish area, as well as a bag drop service located next to the start. Bib numbers will also be distributed in both Valencia and at the Circuit itself during the afternoon of the event, making it easier for all participants to take part.
The atmosphere promises to be unbeatable. Spectators will be able to stay on the track until 25 minutes before the start and then enjoy the race from the Pit Lane Grandstand, on an afternoon that will blend sport, entertainment, and the magic of the Valencian track.
