The Zuera International Circuit hosted the opening round of the MIR Racing Aspar Cup 2026, bringing together close to 130 riders and delivering an intense Sunday of racing, marked by great on-track battles across all categories.

In the Moto5 category, Ethan Botti secured a hard-fought double, right down to the final moment. In the first race, the Italian rider won after an exciting duel with Poland’s Witek Kupczynski, while Gael García completed the podium on his debut. Hours later, Botti won again in a razor-thin “photo finish” against Pablo Arnedo, decided by just 2 thousandths. García, meanwhile, confirmed his strong form by taking third again. In Group B, the wins were shared between Yoel Moracho and Micah Fatna.

In GP12, Marc Ramírez delivered a perfect weekend, taking pole position and a double win to start the season in the best possible way. In the first race, the Spanish rider won by more than five seconds over Argentina’s Rocco del Papa and Gonzalo Apkarian, a podium that was repeated exactly in the second race.

Daniel Hidalgo was the standout dominator in GP10 in this first round of the championship. After setting the fastest time in qualifying, he was untouchable in the race, winning by more than six seconds over Mario Negre and Omar Albiñana. Luca Castro and Óscar Mercader just missed out on the podium. In the second race, the top 5 remained unchanged, reflecting the consistency of the front-runners.

In Alevín 90, Thiago Clua made his potential clear with an unquestionable display of dominance, also combining his participation with the Minimoto 4,2 category, where he also shone. The same podium was repeated in both races, with Hugo Urbano in second place and Máx Gálvez rounding out the top 3.

The Minimoto 4,2 category once again delivered a show from the very start. Julen Hernández confirmed his status as the favourite by taking victory in a race reduced to five laps, after beating Alejandro García by just 60 thousandths. Once again, the close competition set the tone, with an identical podium in both races, completed by Thiago Clua in third place.

The next round of the MIR Racing Aspar Cup will be held on May 16 and 17 at the Aspar Circuit, where, for the first time in the history of the championship, all categories will be in action: Promo3, Moto5, GP12, GP10, Alevín 90 and Minimoto 4,2.
