Circuit Ricardo Tormo hosts the third round of the Porsche Sprint Cup Southern Europe this Saturday. The German brand’s winter one-make series holds one of its key events at the Valencian track before the season finale.
After races at the main Portuguese circuits, the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve and Estoril, the championship arrives in Spain with very tight standings in the Sport and Club categories. The arrival of new guest drivers adds to the usual roster of contenders and increases the competitive level expected for Saturday.
At the mid-season point, Boerekamps leads the championship followed by Marczak and Giltrap, with the title fight completely open. After the first four races, Monegro leads the Club category standings and heads into the event at the Cheste track with a lead that keeps interest high in the series’ progress.
Saturday’s schedule includes free practice and qualifying sessions before the start of the four scheduled races from 1:00 PM. Each race lasts thirty minutes and brings together young talents and experienced drivers from the Porsche winter series.

The provisional lead is held by just a few points, leaving the championship battle wide open. The fifth and sixth races of the calendar will be held in the Club category, two events of special interest following the results in Portugal. The main contenders head to Cheste with the chance to close the gap and shake up the standings.
Admission will be free for all fans, who can follow the action from the Circuit Ricardo Tormo Pit Grandstand and will have the chance to walk through the open paddock.
